Here's a neck from a beater guitar (Squire II) that's destined to be a Frankenstrat of some sort...  Surprisingly, the neck actually plays great and even has some slight flame on the back.  I guess Squires were a lot better in the Eighties.

Sweet.  Thanks guys.  I'm putting these pickups and electronics in a custom Blueshawk body that I'm making.  So, if I didn't want to use the slider switches, could I use the mini toggle switches instead? If so, should I use the ON/ON type?

Just bought a set of Burn Tri Sonic pickups, and I was wondering what kinds of switches I should use (3 on/off and 3 phase reversal switches) Anybody know?

I HATE the Tele body (and headstock), but I really like the aesthetic of the pickguard and plate and everything... that's why I'm building a Strat with Tele stuff on it.

I know you've already heard about wenge necks, but I've got to tell you that I love mine.  I have a wenge neck with ebony fretboard and SS frets, and I don't think it's too bright (it's on par with my Gibson LP that has a mahogany/ebony neck. Wenge looks badass too.

Maybe they cut the wood on the body (in the example given) like they did because they figured the front would be covered by the pickguard and bridge plate.

Because they have a differently shaped heel.  I'm not 100% sure, but I think you can put a Tele neck on a Strat body (or vice versa), but there will be a small gap showing (somebody correct me if I'm wrong).  I know the old Warmoth site explained this in detail (I haven't searched the new site...
