Wow, where do I start with this neck?

-Afra shaft
-Ebony Board
-ss6650
-1-11/16"
-Wolfie
-Vortex
-Cagey setup

I've owned a Wizard, Fatback, Standard Thin, and 59 contoured necks.  Of these, the 59 just did it for me.  It's quick for leads and comfy for chords - very comfy.  Trouble is it places my finger tips  at a less than ideal angle with respect to the fretboard.  Even still - it's super comfy and I have yet to have a friend try it without commenting on that aspect.

But!  This Wolfgang right here - wow.  The asymmetrical contour is not noticed - what you notice is the neck has a very natural fit.  This has to be the most comfortable and fastest playing neck I've ever owned or played. There's something special about these specs that place my hand and fingers right where they need to be for bends, legatos, chords, etc.  It's spectacular!  The string path is perfect - uber solid tuning stability.

On top of this - let me dispel a myth that I perpetuated - this Warmoth Modern neck is not dull, lifeless, or sterile.  It has all of the woody attack of the Vintage Modern 1-piece I love so much on Ms Nesbit.  I'm absolutely beside myself.  Caveat - I have owned some Modern necks that were dull, but maybe they were flukes - or this one is the anomaly.  Whatever the case, this sucker is a keeper.

To me, the asymmetrical contour is felt in the 1 5/8" nut width, but the SRV that I've felt in Rob Rounds' Blue Jean Tele at 1 11/16" just felt "right".

The nut width can really play into how the contour feels.

I love the '59, and the SRV, both in 1 11/16", heck I even love the '59 in the 1 5/8", but I'd love to try the Wolfie in a 1 11/16".

I have a Wolfie @ 1-3/4" and it's a really slick beast!

I have a feeling the SRV @ 1-11/16" would be amazing - the shoulder of the 59 with the contoured treble side sounds awesome.

I kind of think of the SRV as an asymmetrical '59 in that respect.

My SRV and Wolfie are 1-11/16" Love em both. The SRV is a bit easier for me to get my hand around but both feel dam good to me. I like the little extra meat on the wolfie.
