White '54 Precision

With the crowning touch, I'm going to call this one "finished."

I had planned to swap out the tone pot for a linear pot, but the replacement CTS pot was faulty.  The circuit board broke into pieces as I started to work with it.  So, I scrapped the entire notion.  I might revisit, but it's very tough to find 250k linear pots, or so it seems.  And the ones I did find are junk.

Yessir, I'm aware of the Bourns.  What I want is the Emerson Pro CTS, but in linear form.  In the end it's not that big of a deal.  Might be worth trying the Bourns, but I have my doubts.

Also, thank you!

Quick question I love the build was trying to kit out my own 54 P Bass on warmoth and it wont let me put binding on it.  Is that something you did yourself or did you call and ask them too?

Thanks for the info I love the build It is so nice looking!

Welcome to the forum, quickshot.

From what I have seen if it has a contour you can't spec  binding in the custom builder. The body was actually a showcase piece, so I don't know. Apparently it can be done. Might be worth a phone call.

thanks, Nice fine. I just finished a P Bass Kit from Pitbull Guitars now I got the bug and want to do a better quality one from warmoth always wanted a tele bass so here is my chance to make it how I want.  Never knew I wanted binding until I saw yours lol!

I know there was a bug in the custom builder when you try to apply binding on some bodies in the custom builder recently don't know if it's been fixed but if you call/email support they'll help you get binding as a "off-menu" option if that happens. I think you can put binding on most warmoth bodies provided it has a lam top.

I recently put a white/walnut clear 72' p together with black top binding inspired by ghotiphry's bass in this thread and Warmoth support couldn't have been more helpful.
