What neck radius for a Gotoh 510

What is the best neck radius to choose for use on a carved top VIP with a Gotoh 510 bridge?

I'm tempted by the compound 10-16, but welcome experience and suggestions?

I understand that the Gotoh has a 12" radius - would it not be better to have a straight 12" radius on the neck for perfection?

What's the score?

I have two VIPs I'm putting Gotoh 510 bridges on, and I'm using the compound radius fingerboards on both necks. That's just too nice a feature to go without. One of the 510s I have is an older version, so it has saddle height adjustments. Not sure why, but they're not available with that feature any more. The other one doesn't have adjustments, but if the radius difference is more than I can accept, then I'll just cut the A, D, G, and B saddle slots a little deeper to flatten out the bridge radius a bit. Shouldn't take much.

I'd just go 12" because that's what the bulk of fixed saddle height bridges seem to be made for.  Also, for all the advantages of the compound radius (and I have one), the differences between the radii can barely, if at all, be seen and feeling the differences are wishful thinking, IMO.  12 is right in the middle of the 2 radii.  It's a bit flatter than the chording part of the compound and a bit rounder than the shredding part, but barely.

Insert popcorn emoticon.
