YES!!!!  :headbang1:

Awesome build. I feel humbled by the dedication.  :eek:ccasion14:
I couldn't get the 'pool shot' last weekend  - it was horrible weather all weekend when the forum had it's "Dangerous & Uberschall" nonsense..... so this is probably a week late. :laughing7:

Yes! So much yes! I think we know who's winning the next GOTM.

Rest easy, folks....I won't be entering this into any competition......it's not my scene to do that.

I've submitted pix of the Uber Tele to Warmoth's Gallery on their site, so others can see what their quality of work is like in those finishes. We here have seen this come to life, so know the excellent neck and body that is on it.It was a real challenge for me to be very proficient with how I assembled this, pressure was on NOT to slip with the screwdriver or stuff things up.Now it is back from the setup job I am getting familiar with this latest addition to my 'family' and it's fun playing a new instrument. That's enough satisfaction right there, for me.

That is Lovely!  I want!  I WANT!  I think Telicasters with trems are AWESOME.  Now just to convince my wife that I need another guitar. :rock-on:

Beautiful work Pete ... a vision realised. Enjoy gettin' to know your new arrival  :headbang:

Wow...that's beautiful. Nicely done!

Thank you...I sent the pool shot and the specs over to Warmoth Gallery, dunno if I sent it correctly? Clicked the button as they said to, got the activation email, and clicked the link.....Hope it went thru OK.

Good way to show folks what Warmoth finishes are like.

AND Thanx all for the above kind comments, appreciated.  :icon_thumright:

Amazing!
That quilt is stunning!

Gotta thank Eric (Wyliee) for that.

He referred me to the LP section of Unique Choice stock, so it could be made for the CT Tele body. You need the thicker slabs (3/4") of quilt and flame maple for the CT Teles.
The one piece mahogany is very nice too, the guitar is quite well balanced, physically and tone wise. Mahogany was needed to colour in some darkness (warmth?) to the overall tone palette as I was fearful that the EMGs might be too toppy....They had already been taken out of an all  maple JM body & maple/ebony neck combo,  for that reason.

Thanx for your interest.

Absolutely beautiful but I don't think you can call it a tele without at least one the following items: fixed bridge, tele neck pickup, tele bridge pickup. Trem, humbuckers makes it a single cutaway with a weird headstock.

The body shape is Tele, that's what it predominately looks like. YMMV of course.  :dontknow:

They need an emoticon with it's jaw hitting the floor in shock... Totally awesome, man.

Incredible looking guitar - major kudos for putting that together.
How do you find the koa neck? I've not seen it used for a neck wood before, but just seen that the Warmoth site lists it as "similar to mahogany". Would you agree? How does it feel in the hands?
Thanks in advance - and enjoy the guitar!!

Cheers
Jordan

From a playing perspective, the Koa feels very much like a Mahogany neck. I have one acoustic guitar with a Mahogany neck and the feel is very much the same, under my hand. Both this guitar and the acoustic have an ebony fretboard, so while they are constructed differently, I have these and another guitar (which also has an ebony fretboard)  to compare between Koa, Mahogany and Maple, as they feel as I play.

Sound wise, I am guessing it may be just a fraction treblier in the tones it assists, than Mahogany. The looks of the Flamed Koa is more attractive than the Mahogany, but I paid a premium for that.

Koa is hard to come by and in limited supply. I saw this neck up on their Showcase and waited a few weeks before buying it.

Thank you for your interest.
