I actually really like the look of DiMarzios in chrome mounting rings.
Reminds me of the Ibanez Joe Satriani models.

Not a big fan of direct mount. I like the adjust-ability of the rings, and they give the guitar a big more symmetry. As for the volume/switch, I almost never touch the volume, but I'm constantly changing pickups, so I like it that way.

I'm a big fan of the Breeds overall. Just a nice, smooth, fat PAF type tone. Maybe a little hot, with a ton of mids. Not a sharp or biting type of pickup, but I let the amp do that.

Oh yeah, about the knob: that's what I had laying around the parts bin, and I typically like strat knobs over the dome ones. I thought about snagging one, but wasn't in a hurry. I needed something else white on the guitar besides just the pickups anyway.  :toothy12:

As everyone said, choosing chrome hardware over black really makes this guitar - that much better, great choices and a really classy look.  Love the green!
