I agree with DesmoDog - had I won, I would have built something I normally wouldn't due to cost. Carved tops are always pricey, and I love Strats, so I probably would have nabbed this body...

Mahogany carcass with a quilted top, binding, nice, Nice, NICE! Put a Wilkinson vibrato on it, some kinda pickups - probably a SD JB & Jazz. Then, so the strings would have somewhere to anchor, I'd have added this neck...

Standard thin ebony over rosewood, with an ebony headstock veneer and pearloid block fret marker inlays. Also nice, Nice, NICE! Only thing I don't like about it is the binding keeps you from putting SS frets on it. But, it's so pretty...

Oh well. Next year.

I voted goldtop. If I won, I was thinking about a goldtop LP, cream binding, with cream bound ebony board and no face dots, dual 'buckers (but P90s are a solid choice too).

But since you won, it's your choice...

Looks good to me. Do the chambered, no F hole body. Lose the crummy Kluson tuners, and use something decent like Sperzels/Schallers.
