The racist comments about Japan

I got a private message from our friend this morning. He apologized to me and explained his reason for going off like that. It's really not needed to post his stuff publicly so I'll just leave it at that. He cleared the air with me and it's my understanding that he cleared it with Max too. I hope everyone else around here will give him a second chance and not hold that stuff against him. As far as I'm concerned we are as cool as a fan and I have no ill feelings about what he said.

While I disagree with his statement, I actually think his statement fell short of racism and everyone needs to calm down and quit trying so hard to be offended.  He expressed dislike for a percieved "wheels off" nature of a country, not hatred of a race of people.  Lighten up everybody.

That said, I forgive him. Everybody is a racist. My question is to what degree?

if you havent had real sweets in a while then you might be surprised at just how sweet it will taste, i went quite a while with no soda or candy or sweetened foods whatsoever, after a while even gatorade was too sweet. eating a candy bar just about made me sick it was so sweet.

You have to continuously eat American levels of sugar to stay used to it. Stop eating American candy and after a while it will taste disgusting to you, as it does to most of the world....I'll take Japanese snacks any day.
