OK so California has a Daily 3. Each ball is 0-9 for a total possible 000-999 so as Tele.Twins pointed out we can use Mod 125 to figure out the winner. Everyone here has a computer with a built in sci calculator. once the numbers are drawn you just take the lotto number and Mod it by 125. On the caculator is a button that says "Mod" so if the daily 3 was:
653 you would input 653 Mod 125 = 28
This gives every number the same chance of coming up. The numbers will be posted publicly well in advance of the Drawing day (CA has daily drawings) and the results can be verified by all. I can't think of a more fair way then that.

Since we're getting such an overwhelming response, maybe we should sell additional tickets, and add a better second prize.
For example, a grand prize of $1250 (125 tickets), a second prize of the remaining amount minus $50, and a consolation prize of $50.

I guess we can see what the board says....I am ok with it. The tickets are going alot faster then they did last time. I guess the first time there was a trust factor so things may have started out slow. I didn't think they would go as fast as they are going this time.
