Every time I try to work on this thing, something else comes up. :sad1: But I did start woodburning the headstock and my overall goal is to have all the woodburning done by the end of July, so I can just focus on stain and oil. Time will tell.  :headbang: More pics this weekend

I saw a soloist once with the wood burn designs. I think they put paint inside the burn grooves, to help the colours stand out more. It was very unique, very beautiful.

Hilarious! This guitar is really amazing though, it's fun watching it come together and kudos to you for having the patience and meticulousness (is that a word?) to do this.

Why stop there? Kind of like the necks with no markers, I'd be tempted to just do the entire fingerboard. I do believe I might call it a day with that, back of the neck would take forever and nobody sees it. That'd give you the head to toe Quequeg look.

I did consider that at one point but I like having the empty frets and the border around the edge to bring out the raw look of the wood.
