Swamp Canary - Telecaster

So that is where that body ended up.  I really was looking hard at that and then it disappeared.  Very nice  :icon_thumright:

Not sure about the body you are referencing. This one was definitely a custom order.

Here's one I found using Transparent Yellow on swamp ash, which is how I thought my Mahogany would be.
But turned out more Golden Honey like, because of the darker grain / wood.

So when I ever go for Trans Yellow, I'll get it in a Light Swamp ash  :icon_biggrin:

Thought it was a custom build, as I don't remember seeing that on the Show Case.

Cool, mine is very close to a honey colour. Kind of like an aged lacquer. Poor indoor lighting really doesn't do it any justice.

Very close to finished. Some small speed humps:

1. Seymour Duncan have given me the wrong screws for my neck pickup. They are too long, and are missing the thread at the top.  :dontknow:

2. They have supplied me with short bits of surgical tubing instead of springs. I find that stuff dries out and cracks over time, and is also pretty useless. maybe I ma being overly meticulous here, but I like to do something properly the first time.  :icon_scratch:

3. Also, the flat top tele style knobs I ordered are for split shaft, not solid.

Off to my guitar store on Monday to correct these problem.

Rear ferrules went in really easily. Scraped away some of the finish, and the tapped them in with a dead blow hammer.

Anyway, here are some progress pics...

OK, I was finally able to recover my soldering iron. Pics coming soon. I should probably create a new thread in the telecaster section.
