Hey All,

I finally finished my Supro Strat.

- I used two wonderful pickups from my 1958 Supro. They are incredible!
- All Black Korina Body
- All Rosewood Neck
- Wilkinson Trem w/ "Tremol-No"
- Locking Tuners

For the record, this guitar sounds nothing like a Strat. Which I did on purpose. With the woods and Supro's, it has a sound of its own.

Here is a link to a photo of the original Supro.

Nice!  If I am not mistaken, Ry Cooder has a strat with some transplanted Supro pickups.  Yours sure looks way cooler though.

Whoa. Perfect. Incredible woods, and the aging on the pickups goes so nicely with the wood colors! I would love to hear what this sounds like.

Yeah, Ry Cooder has a Supro pup, I think. But its a huge Steel Guitar pickup for the bridge...and what looks to be an old Dearmond or maybe Teisco for the Middle pup.

Just found this. Check it:

Haha, guitars are so weird.

Wow, nice to know what happened with those pups. It looks great! I don't know, but how do you think a creme pickguard would look?

Fantastic! my favorite wood combo, and... reminds me a lot of my korina strat... yes .. the one that I accidentally sold  :sad1: :-\

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the kind words.

I have been playing the guitar every day, even took it on a tour. Plays and sounds incredible. Best guitar I own by far!  :hello2:

I don't think I'll get any audio up anytime soon. But I will let you know if and when I do.

:eek:ccasion14:
