Super Bowl

Looks like its Green Bay and Pittsburgh in this year's Super Bowl. Being originally from outside of Green Bay, I'm naturally excited that the Packers are going to the big game (and hopefully win), but I'm not really looking forward to watching the Black Eyed Peas during the half time show. I kinda wish that the execs would have continued to make the safe choice with another big rock act. Personally, I would have liked to have seen AC/DC or another big rock band do the show. Anyone else have a prediction or opinion about the upcoming game?

It'll be a hard fought game! That's for sure. Beyond that I can't say. I'd like to see the Pack win, which is why Pittsburgh will probably walk away with it :laughing11:

I've heard called the "Band Wagon" Bowl so far.  No predictions.  I hope not Pittsburg for no other reason than that Big Ben is a horse's ace.  I just don't like seeing that kind of behavior rewarded.

I will be watching the Super Bowl in Key West so there is a good chance I won't care or remember who wins !!

+1. If Pittsburgh wins, all the headlines will be about how he "turned his life around" blah blah blah.  Conversely, I would love to see Aaron Rodgers win.

And I'm not even talking about the "alleged" incident.  I'm talking about his entourage having to apologize for him everywhere he goes, how a few businesses have banned from entering, how he let's everybody around him know how awesome he is.

Yeah, Ben Ro reminds me of Shaq. A really dislikable pompous douchebag, but still popular for who knows what reason.

Not thrilled about either team in the Superbowl.  I would like to see anybody but the Packers win.  Won't watch the halftime show either.  Although it can't be much worse than The Who last year.  I think they set the new low standard for Superbowl halftime shows.

I will be watching the superbowl wishing I was in key west. The Packers 21-17, but I am a die hard Lions fan, so I clearly know nothing about football :toothy12:

I'm a new Pittsburgh resident, only lived here 2 years.  So naturally I want the Steelers to win.

Regarding Ben..... He is widely considerd a "jag off" here in town in the local vernacular.  But he is our quarterback, and as The Hold Steady say, "You Gotta Dance With Who You Came to the Dance With."

Personally, I hate the guy, but I love those Steelers!

You and me both buddy... Go Lions!

Yeah, screw that. The only team in the NFC that should win a Super Bowl is the Vikings.

That being said, F**k the Packers. F**k them in their stupid as*es.

GO STEELERS!!!

ORC

I've been a Steelers fan since I was a kid in the 70's despite being from Ann Arbor. I lived in the 'burgh from 2001-2004, and I fell in love with the city. I'll have on my Franco Harris throwback jersey, my wife will have her Hines Ward, my kids each will have their Polamalu, and my dog will wear one of the kids old Duece Staley jerseys.

That said, I really wanted the Rooneys to can Ben during his suspension. He is a 'jag off' as previously stated. If we're going to judge that he has redeemed, it should be because of what he does over the next 10 years in his personal life, not because he wins a game next weekend.

ORC, don't hold back on how you feel now.  I have to live in MN next to those cheeseheads.  They infest our state and run around chanting go pack go.  They drink all of our beer leaving hardly any for us...that's why I have to brew my own.

Was that a little Freudian slip in your typing of superbowl?  I think the Vikings did win the superbowel.

Sadly, the Vikings have never won the Super Bowl, but do have a record tying 4 losses in the Big Game.
