This place is like the worst AA meeting ever.
"Lately, I've been thinking about getting a drink."
"What have you been thinking about drinking?"
"A mostly authentic Cuban Mojito, only with organic strawberries added."
"Oh man, you should TOTALLY drink that!!"

Soo, so true.

That one that is down the street from where I work, but doesn't give factory tours because they're crazy secretive... yeah.  I wish I had one of them too.  I was -ahem- building a solid body uke with a body style similar to a certain model.  But unfortunately, I got to the neck and was kind of out of my league as far as building skills go, so that's on hold.

Of course now I have this image in my mind that the factory is like Willy Wonka's Magical Guitar Shop because they don't let anyone in there.

I used to have three (or was it four?) of those 'R' guitars.  They're not that special compared to a warmoth telecaster.  Back in the day (late 80s) they were the best thing going mind you.

I think they're pretty cool, but nothing is as good as getting exactly what you want from Warmoth.

I have this urge to build a 7-string, baritone V.

-  "Gibson" Flying V body

-  7 Strings

-  2 Humbuckers

-  Ebony Fretboard

-  Maple neck

-  Maple or Alder body

-  SS medium jumbo frets

-  white neck binding

-  "V" headstock

-  inverted cross fretboard inlay at 12th fret

-  Floyd Rose tremolo

-  Dragon Burst body finish, matching headstock

-  Gold hardware

I want the thing to just look super-aggressive and sound darker than Hell itself!  :party07:

Gee that one hell of a hack job, isn't it  :laughing7:

Love to know how that spring and chain, sounds though the pups  :icon_scratch:

OK, OK, I guess I'll have that drink with you after all; Slippin'
'round in the back of my head (which is right where it belongs!), is a double-neck Strat--one neck
for standard tuning, and one for slide in an open tuning...Thankfully I haven't even thought about body wood, necks, pickups, or any of that. Actually, I seem to recall one of you troublemakers planting the suggestion of a double-neck in my head a couple of months ago...
How 'bout flamed maple on chambered mahogany with the 'black line' binding option, and...No, no, AAAARRGH!!!!

Good lord!  Whyyy???

I have an idea for a flying V, its just so far down the list that it probably exceeds the maximum number of simultaneously owned guitars.  I have considered incorporating it into another set of build ideas, but ...

A wenge baritone fatback flying V might actually be a falling Y instead.
