Spent the weekend rearranging the mancave/jam room

We moved into this house about a year and a half ago.  There is an awesome bonus room downstairs that I promptly laid claim to as the mancave/jam room.  My wife had no better use for it, so I won.  :laughing7:

As time went on, it was clear that my original layout left a lot to be desired.  This weekend I had enough free time to rearrange everything.  Pretty pleased with how it came together.

On a side note, those coasters they sell for moving heavy furniture across carpet, etc., really freakin' work!  The corner desk in the left side of the photo below must weigh well over 200 lbs.  I put one of those coasters under each leg.  I think it has 13 legs.  I was able to move the desk, by myself, from one corner of the room to the opposite corner, without breaking a sweat.  No disassembly required.  And I'm not in that great of shape.

Anyway, here it is.  :headbang1:, if I do say so, myself.

Sucks to be you, buddy.  Srsly, though, I envy your space.  Once my kids are out of the house, I may be so lucky myself. Until then - I sneak the guitar playin' in where and when I can.  If I were in SoCal, I'd invite myself over just to ogle your axes in person.

That's a sweet setup!

Soo.... bang a headstock off a fan blade yet?  :laughing7:

@Bagman:  Ha!  Thanks.  Yes, we are empty-nesters, so the kids (both of whom are married) each have a bedroom for when they visit, but I don't need to consider them in the overall home layout.    :glasses9:

@Doug:  Most of them should be familiar.  Thanks for all the neck plates!  They give each build part of it's personality.  :icon_thumright:

@Cagey:  Not yet, but I'm not as animated as I was many years ago.  Anymore, most of the time I play sitting.  :glasses10:

@Line6man:  Hahaha, good eye!  Actually, it was Gatorade.  But a glass of scotch would have been good.    :occasion14:

@SustainerPlayer:  Nice!  Fortunately, it doesn't echo like a cavern.  But perhaps that would be a good thing...natural reverb.  :laughing7:

Brent, speaking of which, did you get your latest shipment?

The mail where I currently live is awful.  I'm hoping that is the problem and that the plates will be here soon.  If I paid extra for the shipping on future orders, would you consider sending them two-day priority mail, or something like that?

One other thing about this room is that there is no closet space or other storage of any kind. My cases were kind of an eyesore previously. By leaving some space behind the desk, I was able to create some "out of sight" storage which is easy-access. It also gives me access to the backs of my amps for getting at cables and tubes, and to the blinds to let in some sunlight. This layout literally works.

Another view. Access to the space behind the amps and desk is between the bass half-stack and the curved multi-guitar stand.

I know what you mean. The postal system is getting bad, never had to worry to much with them in the past. But as of lately their service has become questionable. I can start sending them proirity.. :headbang:

Jam room yes, but to be a mancave you need some of, if not all of the following, refrigerator (stocked with beer), neon beer sign, posters of some bikini wearing bimbo, and a dart board, bar stools and a bar or tall table are a plus, oh and don't forget a sign on the door proclaiming the area to be men only, no whinning, fun zone, something along those lines.
I almost forgot, you need a big screen tv too, mounted high on the wall

Finally!  Sent March 2nd, arrived on the 11th.  Go USPS!  :tard:

@TonyFlyingSquirrel:  Thanks!  :icon_thumright:

@Stratamania:  Thank you, it really is.  :glasses9:

@Alfgang:  The big screen TV is not in the picture.  It is on the wall opposite the amps and guitars.  :icon_biggrin:  For the rest of those things, I don't really need them.  My jam room is my mancave.  It's all good.  :guitarplayer2:
