Awesome build man - transparent black is a bad@ss finish anyway, but with the design made from the unstained wood and the blond fretboard, it all works together perfectly.
Is that part of the neck design with the duck shaded in somehow? On your photoshop mockup, it looked like it would be gold or something.

It's not shaded, just the design in black. That was the original intention.
I think it looks that way in the mockup because when I was making the layer for the fretboard design I used a slightly different color maple than the fretboard in the duck design. Now that I look at it, it does kinda look gold.
If you look closely in the mockup the undyed flamed maple design doesn't really match up with the grain on the dyed area either. The headstock logo is huge on the mockup too. no tuning keys, etc. I feel I got it very close to the intended design though.

Jeez Huge wow. I love a guitar (or a car, for that matter) that looks like its going a hundred miles per hour when its standing still. Great build and inspiring. I'm working on my second build and just trying to choose knobs and pickup rings is giving me fits. I should just let my wife decide, she has better taste anyways.

Only nit-picking here; but (IMHO) too bad the headstock wasn't straight instead of angled. I think it'd look cooler aesthetically seeing as
you have the Floyd string retainer on it anyways...
Second, the name on there wigs me out for some reason. I think that's just due to my superstitious nature with
names and tattoo's... but who cares, its your guitar and its f-ing awesome.ccasion14:
