Well, my latest guitar build is finally complete. It had lots of stops and starts, mostly related to the acoustic bridge. It would have been way easier to use a hard tail bridge, not just because I had to design and build it, but also because string height and intonation were a pain. In the end, I love the way it came out.
I have plenty of experience in wood working, but none in electronics, so I had no idea what would happen when I wired each piezo to a summation board and then directly to the output jack with no on board pre amp. But surprisingly, it works great plugged directly to my amp. Clean tones have that piezo sound. Add some gain and it sounds beautifully angry. Will it be my primary or even secondary guitar. No. But it will look good on my wall.
