The first order of business is to turn these bits into instruments to make sure they work before we paint them up.

First, let's play with the neck!  The neck is finished in vintage tint satin, and the first thing that I did was polish up the face of the headstock:

Juuuuuust enough gloss.

Next is the tuners.  I chose sperzel sound lock tuners because

1 - they are really light.
2 - they are locking.
3 - they have staggered peg heights.
4 - they are reversible. 
5 - as a bonus, you can change the color of the buttons.  For S&G I decided to use black for the lower octaves and white for the drones.  Very cool if you ask me...

And it begins... I have a feeling this is going to be another EPIC mayfly project.

Not sure about the pickup choice on the 12 strings, but may kick major arses!

I'm going to be using lipstick pickups for this guitar.  The reason is that I want it to sound like this:

When I saw Neko live, her guitarist was using a dano 12 with lipstick pickups.  It sounded divine.
