Roasted Maple Fretboard (on roasted maple neck)

I recently ordered my first roasted maple neck. I have a pretty good idea of how I'm going to go about burnishing the back of the neck (and headstock), but I'm curious about what people have done for roasted maple fretboards. I can't burnish it because it will have frets and a nut installed. Do folks mostly just leave these raw? Is it worth applying a little lemon oil or something else? Thanks!

Wouldn't putting on a finish miss the point of having it roasted?  I guess if you wanted to pop the grain you could.  Personally, I would treat it like any other exotic.  If you put mineral oil on your goncalo alves fretboard once year, I'd probably do the same.

Absolutely! I'm not intending to finish it - just wondering if I should leave it untouched, or use some kind of conditioner (i.e. lemon oil).
