Post what you're listening to!

Stumbled on these girls a little while ago and have been really digging their stuff.

One weird-ass band covering another weird-ass band:

I've either got excellent taste or terrible taste...

Can't be played in the US. Apparently, somebody's afraid the band might get more popular and/or make some money from doing their thing.

Sorry to hear that.  There are other non-pro shoots of the performance, but they are kinda crappy.  Let me see what I can dig up.

... or not.  It's just music after all.

While I remember, someones uploaded (mostly complete) Old grey Whistle Test shows from the early 70s,

Tom Verlaine "The Blue Robe"

No vision, just an instrumental track from the album "Dreamtime" - year unsure because I can't be bothered to look it up.... probably around '82?

There's so much I like about this track, which I recently rediscovered when relocating to a new city - y'know when you find old photos of old girlfriends, and old CDs in boxes, which you then have to rebox and move to a storage unit ? A lot of nostalgia is unearthed at these times of upheaval...

Won't be to everyone's taste I know...

Odd combination perhaps, but presently bouncing back and fourth between Buckethead's Pike 247 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DmbDYeF3Uk and classic country like Merle Haggard and Hank Williams Jr. If I could sing it would be awesome to have a good country vocal going on. Apparently Dwight Yoakam did an almost all Merle Haggard set at Stagecoach recently and just killed it. I've only found snippets of video for it but sounds awesome.

I'm not a real Buckethead follower but appreciate some of his portfolio for sure. At a concert in Maine last month he handed his guitar to a YouTuber in the audience he recognized and brought up on stage and had them play Soothsayer in the encore. One commenter wrote "He handed you Excalibur..."

Ian Gillan on Ritchie Blackmore coming back to Deep Purple;  “I get on great with Ritchie these days, but I don’t think Ritchie’s playing great these days. And for that reason mostly, I don’t think it would work.”

Also today I have been mostly watching this, dated, but in an interestingly historical way doc:

15 seconds of Jimi, 15 minutes of 'It Bites'.

"There'll be two miles of wire and a dozen craftsmen involved with the creation of one of these boxes, all this to make a bedlam of adolescent noise" LOL!
