Glad you all are getting your orders.  My Velocity is now at three months...

Curious to see how long my VIP replacement takes.

That's really a long time.  Hopefully it comes out really nice.

1st POST question...... So let me get this straight.... There are NO updates posted to your account between when your parts are begun and when they are shipped ?  Sure would be nice to know when its in paint etc. Would also be nice to know body weight after wood work is completed.

This is my 1st adventure building one. This could be a tough period !

I didn't get any information at all between when I ordered and when it shipped.  I emailed after 8 weeks to see if there was any info available and they pretty much said "it'll ship when it's ready".

However, the wait was well worth it, I got a stunning body so strap in and it will arrive eventually.

I had been building a lot of respect for you, Frank, until you popped the Phil Collins vid.  Now I gotta re-evaluate.

It's not so much that it's a BAD song (although I'm not particularly fond of Phil's work generally); it's just so . . . ubiquitous.

Mmm.  Not so much.  Once in a while, I enjoy Mr.G solo, very occasionally I enjoy PG-era Genesis, but mostly, my tastes favor a little less of the simultaneously-twee-and-bombastically-earnest flavor that permeates so much UK prog of that era.  I gotta hand it to Phil Collins for making Genesis a lot more accessible to the lay listener for a few years; but then he started reading his own press releases and it all went to hell.  Or rather (and more charitably), it all went in a direction I don't personally prefer.

Although the casual racism of "Illegal Alien" is really hard to excuse on any grounds.

I did catch Genesis in 1984 on the "Mama" tour, and I'll say this - they put on one hell of a show.

I heard some funny stories about the PG era band from a stagehand down here in the OC.  Said they were dressed as venue henchman and stood around checking IDs and collecting tickets from fans coming in to see them.  They made everyone wait an extra 10 minutes for the show to start and took the stage in their costumes and revealed who they were.  Ha!

We shall see.  Got the shipping notice for both the Velocity and the VIP.  Both should be here this week!

I ordered recently enough that I'm not even expecting any updates from Warmoth for quite some time. I suppose I have things to do, even guitar related things I could be doing in this time, but man it's killing me.

Hey dummy - how about working on the finish redo, or maybe laying out your control board...
