I love both Tom Delonge's old strat and Deryck Whibley's tele deluxe.

so i've devised a hybrid of the two with my own little twist.

Slap a sticker on the pickguard above the pickup.

and in all seriousness, that color with a black pickguard? AWESOME

think you should maybe throw a p90 or humbucker sized p90 into the neck though. just for versatility's sake. i bet you wouldn't regret it.

Billy Joe Armstrong was seen in pics playing a similar slanted single bridge humbucker'd Tele Deluxe.  Works for me.

the neck in the picture is Wenge/Ebony  :icon_smile:

also, i was thinking when i get this build going, that finish might require "the Tonar touch"  :headbang:

That's the Tele Deluxe pickguard.  Change the pickguard, you change the control layout, then it's not really a Tele Deluxe.

+1. I reckon a "STP" sticker would go great with that colour scheme. On the pickguard though, between the bridge pickup and where the neck pocket is.

Those all look worse! No cheesy graphics! :sad:

But my problem was with the size and shape of the pickguard. Something that doesn't cover so much of the wood would work better, IMO.

Use an image hosting site like Flickr or Photobucket.

yeah! even if you don't pull it out 95% of the time, a p-90 is AWESOME to have available. like i said, i bet you won't regret it. very nice choice
