Neck & Body blank for Bass Project!

Yes, the Padouk neck is simply stunning!

I do have a design in the works...I'm doing a scale drawing in Visio. Here's a screenshot...what do you think?

yep..the body blank is rather plain - I thought mahogany might be more interesting..ah well...so I'm thinking about adding a thin sheet of some more exotic looking wood.

I agree - it will probably suffer from "neck dive"...but I imagine any guitar/bass with an explorer-style body has got to have a similar problem.  if it turns out to be really unbearable I may add a small metal arm that extends 6" or so behind the neck for attaching the strap.  I've seen this on other basses (e.g., Warwick's Nobby Meidel bass)
