My VIP **NEW PICS POSTED **

UPS dropped of my new VIP yesterday!!  Warmoth did an OUTSTANDING job on it too!  The neck feels amazing, and the dye on the body is perfect.  The only issue I have run into so far, is that the push/push pots I ordered are not tall enough to fit thru the body.  I will have to source some taller ones if possible, or go with push/pull pots from stewmac.  :(  Anyways, enough jabbering, here are some pics!!!  Sorry in advance for the poor quality.  Hard to get good pics inside, and too flippin cold to do them outside.

This was new guitar week X2 for me!  I also bought a 000 acoustic.  It is a rosewood Silvercreek T-170.  Plays just like the 000 EC martin right down to the V-neck!  It is solid wood, and amazing considering the price.  Bought it thru musicians friend for $199 shipped on sale.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! maybe it's just because i've always had an obsession with the Modern Eagle II, but this may be my favorite warmoth build i've ever seen

I ran into the same thing on my VIP build -- I had ordered regular push/pull pots from Stewmac, and had to return them for the long-shaft versions, which are going to fit fine.  But they only offer 500K with the long shaft.

Thanks man.  I am itching to get it done!  I had a carved top soloist built out of warmoth parts a few years back that a local luthier assembled for me, but this will be my first on my own.  I made the mistake of getting a thin neck for that one, and never liked the feel.  This 59 round back feels amazing.  I can't wait to string it up and see how it really feels!!

That is ok...I am looking for 500K to run with my TX/BBQ pups

Niiiice shade of blue...... btw, that acoustic looks good too. :icon_thumright:

Just ordered my new pot switches.  Anyone need some push/push type 500K pots?  Make you a good deal  LOL

Curious, how well does that case fit your VIP?

Pretty good.  It is a little tight closing right now, but I am sure the foam will form to the guitar over time.  It is fairly soft foam along the top inside.  I threw the bridge on last night to be sure the case would still close, and it did.  Overall, I am cery happy with the case so far!

Your VIP is gorgeous - remind me not to submit mine for GOTM at the same time as you! lol

LOL.  thanks.  Personally, I have yet to see a VIP on this forum I didn't like!!

I had DangerousR6 cut a custom neck plate for my tele with my Cool Cat logo (old band logo that I carried forward into my interument/amp projects), but I wanted something more visible for this guitar.  So I contacted a few guys who do inlaying, and will be have a rosewood trussrod cover done up!  Promissed my wife this would be it for $$ spent on this guitar  LOL.
