my newest strat

Well I'm getting to old to rescue stray dogs and cats anymore. That said, I noticed this ambitious project on ebay. The guy had tried to stain the body (badly) and finished it off with a generous(drippy) coat of krylon sparay enamel. A lot of stripping and sanding, brought the wood back to the original unfinished stage. From there, I built what you see. Clear nitro cellulose lacquer with a few drops of inkjet printer yellow and red ink for that vintage tint look. black schallers, wilkenson tremolo and some tricky pickups made a very nice sounding guitar.
You can hear it played at address below.

If you like it, I've got it on ebay to finance my next project.

VERY nice  :icon_thumright:

By coincidence - I watched a show 'Lou Reed At Montreux' the other night, and his guitarist played a guitar that looked like that...

Man that is one beautiful strat.....just plain bitchin'. The black hardware just sets the top off perfectly...A++++++ :icon_thumright:

makes me allmost wanna have a strat, this axe ;) great lookin, great soundin' axe!. I bet that this guitar would sound equally good with high gain. a set of kinman woodstock+ would make this guitar even better. top notch wood, hardware and pickups would make it a class A instrument. oh wait; it already is  :toothy12: :kewlpics:
