That quilt is awesometacular, even with that big, gold fiddly bit ruining the middle of it.  :icon_thumright:

Wow, nice one for sure. How's it sound with the rw neck and mahogany body? I almost went with all rw on my first (in fact, wanting an all rw neck was why I came to W in the first place really) but decided I'd better go more traditional on my first...

It sounds great, as this is is my first build though I have no real comparison. If I could compare a warmoth maple vs the rosewood I might be able to be more help, but I am not disappointed! I originally planned for a wenge and Macassar neck but saw this one and thought it was a bit special. Body wise, it feels alive, I don't know if this is because its chambered or because of the brass block. Probably both!
The guitar sounds like, when you change the strings on an old favourite and you remember why you loved it again!
The neck has only been on 5 days so I'll take it back to my tech and get it set up again and then I'll get a more accurate report
I sanded the neck with 2000 grit paper and it is Sooo nice

EVERYTHING matters, which makes a lot of those ads for the "magic secret part to give you the tone of the stars!" a bit comical. If it only WAS one part.... :sad1:

At the risk of maybe sounding weird, the longer you wait the better it may be (and cheaper...) I do my own stuff, but I find that different guitars may need to try a few different kinds of strings, action heights, most of the truss rod adjustments that are needed will happen in the first several days... if you need him to do the fret ends that's important, but for the rest of the setup stuff - it's never exactly "finished." The more you figure out how to do yourself, and adjust bit by bit, the better the instrument will suit you.

Oh no, everything matters totally! But I replaced the block on my old ibanez (which I had to sell to buy the neck) and it did make a difference (unplugged anyway), but I totally agree!
As for the re set up, he said I could take it back in a week or so, so hell yeh I'll take him up on that. There's a couple of dead notes and the 5th harmonics aren't ringing out as well as I think they should, but it's a great start
