Meanwhile, at Warmoth...Win a Strat® replacement body in Black Satin!

To clarify, to enter you only have to answer one question....the one about your favorite online forum. All the rest are "bonus" entries for completing tasks.

The point of these sweepstakes, the reason that justifies Warmoth giving product away for free, is the marketing advantage we gain from them. First, they create a buzz around a new product. Secondly, we are usually going to require people to answer a question that gives us some kind of insight into product development, or the demographics of our audience, or the most effective places to advertise, or whatever. After that, most of the "bonus entry" tasks are to grow our social media base, whether on FB, Twitter, YouTube, or whatever.

Not everyone will want to complete every task, and that's cool.

Why wasn't this forum listed as one of the options? I had to put "none".

We were trying to get some insight into which forums would be a good place to spend advertising dollars. No need to put this site in the list....we already have it pretty well covered. :)

I see Premier Guitar and Guitar Magazine, and a bunch of other guitar magazines and online publications all over Facebook...even ones that are suggested for me.  I rarely see anything on Facebook from Warmoth.  That should be your 'flood'.

Thanks for the clarification, Aaron.

I don't want to discourage Warmoth from giving things away, but I think the best advertising the company gets is when someone sees and tries out one of the guitars made from your parts. My experience is that the responses are nearly universally positive.

Damn. That makes sense.  :icon_biggrin: Thanks.

Tried to sign up for the new Warmoth giveaway. Unfortunately, it requires you to follow Warmoth on Twitter. Not only do I have a life and a job, even if I was an unemployed shut in, I couldn't bring myself to use Twitter! I love this forum, and I can deal with Facebook, but I absolutely draw the line at Twitter.

Too bad, nice Strat body.........  :-\

The worst thing about Twitter is that I hear people's cell phones making tweet noises all the time. I honestly do not see the appeal of that website.

This satin option has really opened the door for me on solid colored guitars. I guess I never realized that it was the gloss that was putting me off, but I really want a seafoam green and a fiesta red guitar now.
