THERE THEY ARE!!

Aaron, is that shirt a throwback to Prince's 2004 While My Guitar Gently Weeps performance?

You guys don't miss a trick, do you? We ix-nayed the costume thing, but when I got out of bed that morning I was like "what shirt do I have that would somehow tie in?", and I thought of that performance.

I think there were only 7, and that was all of them. It was a very limited edition.

I, for one, look forward to seeing what you do with it!

I've got almost everything on order now. I'll start a build thread once things start arriving (which I hope is this week).

I will call mine the Purple Turtle.
Now for the neck - will a Warmoth roasted neck look good on this one?
Body being mostly Amber, and me liking roasted necks.

What do you think?

If it were me, I would order a new regular maple neck with Vintage Tint Gloss finish. They will look great together!

Just sayin'.  :icon_thumright:

I like something in between 1 5/8 and 1 11/16
How do I specify 1 5/8 be a little wider but not as much as 1 11/16.

Not sure you can do that. You can give us a call, and see what our customer service reps have to say, but I don't think you can really go off-roading on things like nut widths or fretboard radii.

1 5/8" = 1 20/32". 1 11/16" - 1 22/32". So, you're saying you want a nut width of 1 21/32"?

Unless someone was really hungry for work, they might find the right combination of weasel words to say "no, we can't do that", knowing on the going-in side that they're looking at a customer whose middle name is "problem child"  :laughing7:

I'm always on the prowl for new and interesting ways to put a positive spin on "no".  :toothy12:

Out of my own curiosity.  Gotta say, I agree with you on the vintage.

You don't want to say "no" to customers, so the trick is to get the them to say no, which isn't a very difficult trick. You just have to price it right  :laughing7:

Worst thing that can happen is they say yes anyway and you get to make a boatload of money. Some might argue that by saying no (no matter how you do it) you'll discourage further inquiries, but invariably what happens is they get the same answer from any reasonable supplier, so there's no stink on you.

Looking at those photos, the vintage tint for sure.

The mock-ups really help, ghotiphry.
