Your welcome....

Very nice Tele by the way. That transparent red colour is really good.
Thanks, depending on the light, that looks anywhere from maroon to red because it has a pearl clear coat over it. It's actually my favorite paint job. Not one I did, though.

Is the pickguard bakelite also?
No, it's just black with a matte finish. The edges are square cut, not tapered. I have often thought about changing that to gloss but it looks good as it is so it stays.

It does look good. Bakelite would be more brittle, it just reminded me of it so I wondered.

I finally got some decent photos of the Bobber. Indoor photos are not as interesting as outdoor ones but right now, nothing has leaves worth a hoot. :icon_biggrin:

Most excellent it is, envious I am. (Sorry couldn't resist doing a Yoda)  :tard:  :toothy10:

Beautiful work as usual, Rob! Ya know, if you're ever feeling claustrophobic because of all those great guitars around you, I'd be more than happy to take one off your hands. And I'm pretty sure there are others around the forum who would also be willing to help out.~  :icon_jokercolor:

Thanks, Steve. I was getting a little concerned about what to do.  :laughing11:

Here's a photo of the back showing the string-through plate.
