While I agree with Jusatele that you will get some unhelpful posts from the 4 types he mentioned, I don't see anything wrong with having a theory thread to share ideas and information. I am always interested to learn and share ideas. Try it and see where it goes.

Just be sure to state at the top of the opening post that you understand that it's possible to just play "by ear", and that the only purpose of the thread is to learn more about theory. Maybe that will discourage a few of the "anti-theory" types from offering comments that don't really add much value to the discussion.
