A bass for my dad

A little more progress as I wait for finer grit sanding belts from Mr. Amazon. The frets have been leveled, crowned, and polished, and the edges of the fretboard I rolled with a razor blade to give this thing a broken in feel.

I am also reprofiling the bass side ever so slightly to give it an asymmetrical neck carve. Not a ton, as it’s already thin enough, but just enough for some thumbover assistance.

Even though I’m not finished with the neck I HAD to just give it a go all strung up to see how it felt. This is a great bass already!

To do list:

- Cavity shielding and grounding
- Headstock face lacquer and logo
- Finish sanding the control plate edges as they’re a little janky
- String tree install
- Final wiring (connect pickups to wiring harness)

Almost done!
