I am planning to build a J bass 8-string. I want to match the tone of my Warwick Corvette basses (one 4 string one 5 string both with passive pickups). What body wood should I use if an all bubinga is not available from Warmoth?
I also plan on using the same MEC pickups that are in my Warwicks. I love the being able to plug in either bass without having to change my amp settings.
