Green Burst Strat

Hi

New member here, I just picked up this green burst Warmoth strat and thought I would share;

-Alder body/quilted maple top/green burst with binding, contoured heel
-Vintage Modern neck, maple/Indian Rosewood, 1-11/16", 10"-16" compound radius, SRV profile
-2 DiMarzios, 5 way switch, Wilkinson trem, sperzel locking tuners

Now, that's a great first post, welcome to the forum !

I'm usually not too fond of quilt maple tops or green guitars, but this one looks really great — the burst and the binding give it a very classy vibe. Kinda PRS-ish, without the flashiness.

That looks great. Excellent work with the aesthetics and I am sure it plays really nice. This is a good forum and as a relatively new member I have found a lot of thoughtful input here.

Thanks, I am really enjoying it. As a bit of background I became familiar with Warmoth as a teenager back in the 80s. I bought one of their necks as an upgrade for a Fernandes strat. I also had a strat built with Warmoth body and neck. Alas both were sold 20+ years ago.  :sad1:

Beautiful guitar! I don't know why, but the zebra-coils really are perfect with that top...your choices all work great together! And welcome....(Does the 'CT' in your forum nom-de-plume stand for Connecticut?)

Thanks, I do really like the crème bezels/zebra combination, but I can't take credit for it as someone else built this guitar. I am just the lucky guy who bought it used :icon_biggrin:. Yes I live in CT.

Man! I built a chambered hardtail strat with that top/finish equipped with a raw goncalo/pau ferro fat-back neck back 'bout '98... sold it ~year later to pay my divorce lawyer  :doh: and have been missin' her (the guitar, not the wife) ever since!

I'll bet the original owner might come back to ya begging for it back!  -I know I did! :laughing7:

The secret to a cheap divorce is to not fight. Nobody wins but the lawyer. I've done it twice, and both times I just said "you can have it all". Lawyer's got nothing to do but file and appear for the judgement. Tough to charge much for that. Not that I begrudge lawyers their fees, but it's sorta like paying taxes. It's better for everybody if you just donate to charity and reduce your indebtedness than to waste it on the gummint.
