Just think of the money and work you have saved.  The GAS hunt continues  :icon_biggrin:

Oh my... I didn't know I liked trans blue over RSA quite as much as I like it.  Probably because I've never seen one before.  :tard:  Damn, damn, damn, damn....

Yeah, that blue is spectacular. I think another color that would be killer on RSA is transparent turquoise.

That's a lovely shade of blue. I've always thought the Trans Blue was a bit too bright (going by the stock photos at least) but putting it over RSA gets much closer to how I imagine it should be. Nice.

@TenThumbs - My thoughts exactly. I've not wanted a trans blue until I just saw that piece.

Now, you guys know I need to visualize the whole package.  I like this whole package, more than I want to.  Yeah, I agree with y'all, the trans blue over RSA just is nice.  Paired with a simple maple/maple neck, black blocks and binding...

I really like it a lot.  But I'd say you already have a nice maple neck with black block inlays, not that there's anything wrong with two of them.  I'd stick with the maple fingerboard, but how about white pearloid blocks and a pearloid pickguard?

There's a reason I returned to the maple/maple black/black, because it works with basically everything and anything.  I always enjoy doing this design stuff.  I'll leave this here, what do you thing?

Having seen the visual now, it's kinda garish.  Don't get me wrong, I think your concept is very good-looking.  But if one wished to do something different from your alpine white bass, you might maybe try just a no-inlay flame maple (or roasted flame maple) fretboard?

THAT'S IT!!

Frankly, you can't go wrong with either but I prefer the black a bit more than the pearl.

Count me in for black inlays. In fact, I'm wondering if maybe the metal bits ought to be black as well. Midnight blue and black seem to go together well.

Black ebony fretboard, Roasted Maple neck with Blue Trans finish on the headstock? Heck, the whole neck...

:icon_scratch:

Actually, it might not match, Roasted Maple and Swamp ash+trans?

Well, a few things to share, all with black bits.

One is my pau ferro neck 'o death, but that one stays right where it is.  It's just that when I tried it, it worked for me.

I keep coming back to the maple with black blocks/binding.  I like this.  I tried a whole bunch of stuff.

The colored headstock didn't do it for me, regardless of what fretboard it was paired with.  Besides, it wouldn't match the RSA body color anyway.

I wonder if they'd do an RSA veneer and then colorcoat it?

Even if they would, though, I agree the colored headstock doesn't seem to work.
