Looks great but they installed the wrong frets. Ordered SS6150 (it’s even hand written on the neck pocket) but they installed gold frets.
+1 on this. scrape the lacquer off a fret or two to find out...Are you sure it's not just the lacquer?
They spray AFTER they install the fret wire? Seems like they would look pretty crappy as it was played over time, scrapping the tint off and having two toned frets. I’ll post a side by side pic later.Looks like you might have gotten a vintage tint finish? If so, it will make your frets looks gold until they are scraped.

And I thought the neck was already finished in the Warmoth ad (and no frets yet)?
I don’t remember if it had a finish option. And for the record, I’m not mad about it, just disappointed if it is the wrong fret wire. That's the way it's done on maple boards, yes.
It doesn't look finished to me in the pics that were previously posted.
If the build options gave you a choice of finish, it wasn't previously finished.
On a side note ... I don't think I would have ever opted for a finish on that beautiful roasted neck.
Thanks. Looks like I have a rainy day project ahead. This is the first unfinished maple-maple neck I’ve ordered. The other dozen or so necks are rosewood, ebony or Purple Heart. Learn something new everyday day !The red dot on the heel means it has a satin finish on it. The fretwire is correct as SS6150.
Chech out this Warmoth video called "Why is there finish all over my frets?"
