Not quite doing this right, but..

I like these:

Also, I like the look of this F*nder Walnut Jazz bass

Except obviously I'd go for a Warmoth Chambered Dinky J bass made of real Walnut, not just some stained ash or whatever it is. Walnut neck,

Ebony fretboard..

Gold Hardware...

Gloss finish...

You get the general idea...

Do Warmoth do Walnut necks? I know they do Strat necks, but bass necks?  :dontknow:

Speaking of knobs, if you're up for the diversion, I just bought a set of four of these.  http://www.johnpageguitars.com/shop/jp-custom-domed-skirt-knobs-chrome-set-of-4

Can't say I've ever seen a walnut bass neck.

Those are nifty.  Viable metal replacements for strat knobs that you can actually use to do pinky swells!

Wow, those are very cool. They're the best of Strat and Tele knobs.  :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:

I'm not big on the blue, either. Brown would have been better, I think, if it had to have the edges covered.

So I've lined up 2 jobs for my summer holidays coming up...so if you guys could leave this combo of neck/body for me that would be great!

Well I haven't posted GAS before but I don't know what this is still doing for sale. I'm planning to get a Warmoth neck when I decide on specs but I've bought an unfinished Ash body locally to accommodate it and want to make it look like this:
http://www.warmoth.com/Showcase/ShowcaseItem.aspx?Body=2&Path=Spotlight&core=82&i=PS12273

Well, somebody has now bought you, fine specimen. Good luck out there in the world and I hope to see you as a finished project one day.

I've ordered a Fender (style, but in no legal sense any association with FMIC :evil4:) P '54 style body and 1 piece Walnut neck with a Maple skunk stripe, from another UK based Guitar Build(er).

My name is amigarobbo, and I have a problem.  :turtle:

I've been looking at 1 piece walnut necks from a UK Guitar Build(er) too, so I'll be very interested to hear what you think. Stock item or are you having to wait for them to make it?

Making it, custom headstock, Stainless steel frets, and square heel, so it'll fit into the standard 2 piece PB body 54 (2 piece walnut) body. The body which is from their standard range, but I suspect they've don't have piles of them lying around, and it'll have to be shoved into the CNC machine as well.

It'll be an age before I'll be able to build this. I can barely afford the little bottle of Tru-oil for the finish.

Anyway, no Warmoth content, so I'll shut up now...

Yeah, it is. Too bad the more interesting grain variations will end up covered, so the end result will look more like Zebrawood than Bocote. Not that there's anything wrong with that - Zebrawood looks great - just sayin'.
