Oh duh..

I did a little hue change for you from this:

That Sunburst. Absolutely beautiful. Personally, I'm feeling a baby blue pickguard with some camouflage pickups.  :toothy12: I kid. A white pickguard on that with some chrome hardware... man, that'd be one gorgeous hunk of wood.

Technically it's Honey Burst.  :laughing7:

Huh.  How'd you do that?  You think that would be pretty close?

That blue is close to what I would expect.

The back is just as nice:

I'm worryingly close to pulling the trigger.
I like this even better than the front and the front's no slouch. It's a fine color.

Just a little 5 second Photoshop :icon_thumright:. It is still just an estimate though. But at the same time I don't see why it would look drastically different from this if it's the same kind of finish really.

Compare it to this black korina body which seems pretty close to the grain contrast of roasted ash, looks pretty similar to the mockup:

Thanks, exaN.  IDK, that black/brown/yellow on RSA seems "right" to me somehow.  I'm trying to make a deal with my wife where I get one build a year, maybe.  I'm dreaming of a 5 string bass.

I have a thing for strats. I don't care about fancy tops that much. I want this. With all black hardware. And a neck. And a floyd rose so I can remember how much I hate dealing with Floyd Rose's again and immediately regret having such a large bridge route where once there was flame maple.

Good thing I'm broke!

Ooooh how about this one with some Fralin p92's, chrome hardware, and a nice sexy Warmoth neck? I was thinking something on the lighter side, like maple/maple.

Nice!  :icon_thumright:
It took me a couple of seconds before I realized I wasn't looking at a Mooncaster.

Yes! What finish is that?

That's Lake Placid Blue. One of my favorite finishes. Also the only metallic finish I like. It's just the perfect shade of blue for me. Couple that with the shimmery look of a metallic finish and you're got perfection. On my list of "Things to do when I'm not a million bucks shy of being a millionaire" is a Lake Placid Blue guitar. Probably a Tele, but I really dig the VIP look with F Holes. If only I could get the recessed pots still. Hmmm.... Maybe that's possible DIY? I dunno how thick the top is. I really love that look, but I don't wanna make a perfectly good body look like an electric version of Willie Nelson's "Trigger" to find out.

Is it satin metallic? Looks amazing, and the effect of the carved top actually makes it look like dappled light on a placid lake. Please buy it right now.

If only I had the funds. Yes, it is a satin finish, and it's beautiful. If I had enough money to buy that and make rent, I wouldn't have posted it here until it arrived in the mail. It's absolutely gorgeous. Maybe once I finish my current build and have enough money to start another.... hmmm...

EDIT: My bad, it's Candy Turquoise. Still want. I got it mixed up. I had another tab open searching for Lake Placid Blue.
