Trans yellow on mahogany, comfort contours. Beautiful. I'll bet that finish on roasted swamp ash would be much the same.

That, with a streaky ebony fretboard or rosewood neck with clay dots would be amazing!

Or, and all canary neck.
I'd probably lean more towards ebony for more contrast but rosewood or canary would look great. Maybe canary with an ebony fretboard. The headstock would almost match it.

Mmm... I like everything about this one, but fortunately for my wallet I have several future build plans in my mind and this piece doesn't quite fit into any of them... darn!

HNNNNG. Do want. So much want. If I was made of money I'd have gotten those already. Humbucker for neck/bridge, recessed original floyd, black hardware. Man, wouldn't that be great?

So a veritable swarm of beautiful black limba and figured mahogany necks have gone up since the flow re-opened.  Here is a 'hog specimen I found particularly delicious:

Those are some fine bodies and necks. I particularly like that mahogany one you found, Bagman.

The mahogany neck in particular is absolutely gorgeous!
