That's a spectacular top. Almost makes me want it. Almost. I have other wants to fulfill first. :icon_biggrin:
 
It is pretty. But, it's also freakishly heavy. Still, at that price, perhaps allowances could be made.

I've been a tele man for quite a while, but something about that one just looks off - I think it's the symmetrical lighter colored bits that make the top look bent.

It's not the shape really.... just a classic tone you can't get with anything else. Time to add one to your guitarsenal!

Got nothing against Teles (got one myself), but in this context recalled a statement Hendrix supposedly made about that guitar and why he never played one. He claimed it had only two sounds: bad and worse.  :icon_jokercolor:

Don't know if he actually said it, and while I personally disagree, that's a pretty pithy putdown!
 
It seems Teles make a bad first impression. I've known a number of people, including myself, that would not own one. Didn't like the way they looked, sounded or felt. Then, one day you pick one up that just trips a trigger somewhere deep in your reptile brain and you fall in love.
 
I am humbly surprised at how versatile a guitar it is. Not to mention how well-balanced, comfortable to hold and play, etc.

It really is a unique beast.
