GAS Alert!!!!

omg omg omg. that Goncalo/Pau Ferro neck is BEAUTIFUL
i'm considering that combination for my tele - because the all maple neck is just waaay too bright. I want something to add some body and mellow out the pick attack. I Just don't know if i want to go w/ all Goncalo Alves or one w/ a Pau Ferro fretboard.

How about asking them if they have more blanks at stock? Does is it getting out of the plans?

Very used to forniture, doors, etc... Some guys here use as guitar tops, can't remember seeing it as neck...
 
I'm surprised. I would have thought that something common enough to use for furniture I'd have heard about. But, as I said, that's a new one on me. No matter - glad to know of it. Just another one to add to the long list of possibilities when building a guitar <grin>
 
Those are listed as having Standard Thin back contour... but the heel area looks more blended than on my ST neck. They might have updated the CNC.
 
I wonder what the tonal properties are... It looks like this is Brazilian Walnut, but unlike regular Walnut, it can be played raw apparently... I am intrigued!

Doesn't DocnRock have a Imbuia top on one of his Warmoths? I think I have seen Imbuia necks before in the showcase.. or maybe I am confused with Afra..  :dontknow:

Doc has a strat body with a Maranti top, but nothing with Imbuia....

though I will say that at this point, I really am totally sick of the natural mask binding on almost everything with a figured top. good lord
 
I'm seriously wondering if they can do the masked binding after a red dye, but before a black burst over.
