Sounds like a good replacement for Maple.

Sounds like a good replacement for Maple.

The double laminate option is basically this. Take about .70" inches worth of regular maple, and then cap that with about 0.05" of highly figured maple. It may sound like warmoth is being cheeky and skimpy, but since you dont have have to have a full 0.75" in thick highly figured top, you also dont have to PAY for said highly figured top. If you have ever looked around ebay, you will see that extremely figured wood is ungodly expensive, sometimes 300-500$ for a bookmatched set.

As for the afra, I have never seen that either. But sometimes things like that pop up in the warmoth showcase. It is probally a really nice neck!

Interesting & many thanks, now I know  :icon_biggrin:

Yeah, I see a lot talk about how they would like a raw maple neck (W advise against)
:sign13: So this is a good replacement .... Afra
Must be OK if there using it.

This one kind of breaks the rules.  Neck is from the showcase, and the body is a custom warmoth. Swamp ash body, vintage tint on the back, and basic chrome parts.

Canary neck with Pau Ferro board, graphtec nut, with locking tuners

The idea of this is making my GAS growl bad. Modern vibe in a clean vintage design tele. Somebody stop me please!   :(

Ordered and on its way. looking forward to this. Neck should be arriving soon.  :icon_biggrin:

flame spalt insanity . . .

Wow. I'm not normally a huge fan of rosewood, but that is one sexy neck. I wish I hadn't seen it.

Must resist.

Can't afford.
