Gary Moore has died

I asked my Luthier the other day what was the medium age of his clients
his reply was about 30
Now I must be one of the oldest at 52 but I have seen older guys there having some real classic stuff restored

So I  also asked what seems to be the most demoed song when picking up an axe
Stairway
Smoke on the water
punk crap
and the older guys like..........Black magic woman

I think it is strange someone cannot recognize that song.

Give me a shot at that song and I'm SURE I can make it unrecognisable! (I usually do that to songs......  )

Nowadays everyone knows Santana from all of these compilation guest artist albums he does nowadays, where the solos kinda sound the same a lot of the time. But, there was indeed a time where Carlos Santana was indeed a moving, touring bada*s.

The moment that really made him famous was Woodstock, where, while tripped out of his gourd on mescaline and possibly other hallucinogens, he gave the performance of a lifetime:

According to a couple of news sources, Gary had a heart attack in his sleep. This was stated by the coroner, and a more detailed report will be released after tissue tests are conducted. It sort of reminds me of how legendary DJ Wolfman Jack died. He was about the same age. Sadly, the Wolfman had his heart attack just as he was in the process of giving his wife a hug after being on the road for a few weeks promoting a book he wrote.

Holy Mother of God, how old are you? I haven't heard the name Wolfman Jack in ages. AhhUUUUUUU!!!

betting that if we take a poll less than 30% of people on here will know who he is

I'm 28. I've also seen American Graffiti enough times to know who the Wolfman is. Plus, I know a LOT about history. Not so much modern pop culture (when Katy Perry became famous, I had to ask if she was related to Joe Perry, and sadly had to explain who Joe Perry is), but when it comes to stuff from the 80s past, I seem to retain it. It kept my fraternity brothers and I in free pitchers of beer for a ten-week strectch at trivia night at the local bar.
