First post here at unofficial Warmoth.
I am planning a 12-string build using a Tele Thinline body. I’m going to use Lollar mini-broilers with a hollow body made of maple to get a Rickenbacker-like sound with—hopefully—the playability of a Fender. (I love the sound of Ricks, but I hate the feel.)
Anyway, I’m wondering if anyone has any advice about what fret size would work the best. On 6-strings I always have 6105s installed; very comfortable for me. But I have been wondering whether not not vintage smalls (6230) or vintage wides (6130) would work better on this 12-string. I’m looking to make some tasty arpeggios and happy pop jangles.
Thoughts? Things to consider? Cryptic warnings?
Thanks in advance.
