Too bad there's no way to see it all done digitally lol. And I know it's shiny. And the El Dorado parts oughta pop pretty good against the black Korina body I think. I think it's gonna look pretty sexy personally.

AND getting that bridge made picking the rest of the hardware alot simpler too!

Actual photo of the lefty bridge. And the rest of the parts ill be ordering.

Should I use some after market saddles with it or just use the fender saddles that are coming with it?

2 250k CTS left handed pots and an oaks grisby 3 way tele switch on the way as well!

Now just need to get the body and neck order, pickups and the rest of the El dorado body parts!

Nice parts.  Fender saddles are fine.

I see that you've got a neck pickup cover amongst your parts there. I'm not sure what pickups you're getting, but be aware that there is some risk involved in replacing a Tele neck pickup cover. Some are grounded with a dedicated lead, but others share a ground with the coil via a jumper, which must be disconnected before removing the cover and re-attached to the new cover. Soldering on the cover can potentially lead to overheating and shorting out the coil. If you're doing the swap, and assuming the existing cover is grounded to the coil, I'd recommend just cutting the jumper and then running an independent ground lead for the new cover. Be VERY careful when removing the old cover and putting the new one in position. Some pickups are protected on the inside with coil tape, but others are not, which makes them rather vulnerable to a big metal pickup cover tang. If it's wax potted, be sure to warm it up with a hair dryer or something before removing the cover. Doing likewise after installing the new one will also allow the wax to mold back into place.

Alright, so I know I'm bringing back an old thread, but if it's any consolation it is MY thread. Haha. Ordered the body this morning. Changed the color, instead of sunburst went with transparent brown. Going to try to order the neck today as well as soon as I find out if they have enough black Korina for a neck. And also wanting to get the neck with the same finish. And apparently it needs to be done at the same time if you want to do a matching neck/body. Ordered Schaller strap locks as well, to go with the Schaller locking tuners, which the peg heads will be replaced with something like this (picture below) to match as best I can the rest of the El Dorado parts. I also opted for the 3/4 inch jack to be used with the football shaped jack cover, (anybody know where to get one of those engraved from? Lol) also chose the 3/4 because ), I found out with the 7/8ths cup you can't use 90° plugs so just to be safe I went with the 3/4. I got the 720 mod as well.

And for the record I missed the deadline for the wedding. Just wasn't making enough money to pull it off. So I pushed it back for a late wedding gift/birthday present/Christmas present.

Hope everybody is well!

Thanks man. I can't take the credit on that one though. My brothers best friend (and band mate on occasion) picked it out of 3 choices. Tobacco sunburst, gray sunburst (I forget the technical name, or this one. I'm hoping it turns out good and sounds good enough for him to be willing to take her out in public. I don't care how pretty I make it I'm building it to be played.

Anybody know where to get an engraved selector switch by any chance?

Seek out user "DangerousR6".

He makes various engraved parts, ie; neck plates, and he's done a toggle switch plate here or there.

Check out his work via this thread, which is likely the longest running thread in the history of the forum.

I think the OP has an engraved switchplate.  I suspect he's talking about the switch leaver itself.

Yes everything else is engraved except the guitar body itself, and neck,  and the input jack plate and the pickup selector switch. Just trying to make everything match the best I can.
