Yep, that's it. It was an LPS body with the Wenge/Ebony neck. His tech did all of the cool stuff on it aside from the inlays, and Perry gave him all the credit on the guitar.View attachment 63076
Fairly certain this is the Warmoth Joe Perry build. His tech did much more to the guitar. It was a Wenge LP style neck with gold trapezoid inlay. That much I can remember.
Joe Walsh ordered SO MUCH stuff from Warmoth over the course of a few years. There used to be a pic in the shipping area in the old building of him playing a V he built from Warmoth parts. It was always super cool to see.I'm betting Joe Perry has more than one Warmoth piece in his collection. LOL.
Joe Walsh too.
I agree. The one I have is as solid and smooth as any ebony board I've played ...

Does it feel like a Mustang?
I'm fairly certain the Tele body guitar Maddie often plays on current SNL episodes is a Warmoth build, also.
wow, that's amazing! so that's a warmoth modern tilt-back neck? looks super custom with the inlays and white headstock finish. what tuners are you using here? i'm trying to make my final decision on a tilt-back strat replacement neck. i'm a little bothered by the quote"I agree. Do you plan on thinning the neck beyond factory engineered dimensions? If not, you shouldn't be bothered.i'm a little bothered by the quote"
"The force exerted by the headstock end of the double truss rod is considerable. There must be a minimum 1/8" of wood below the rod end to prevent wood failure in this area. Thinning a neck beyond factory engineered dimensions is not recommended or covered under warranty."
I haven't noticed the issues you speak of.wonder what your experience with this is (?)
