Yeah...I think the crotch rockets may win..gearing and powerband advantage as well as weight.  The thing I like about the twins is most of that power is available around 2000-3000 RPM.

The motor is a custom built Ultima el Bruto..113...fully polished.

Roger Bourget builds some cool bikes...does his frame hold the oil???
Ewwwwwwww, El Bruto...Nice, Ultima makes some good motors from what I've heard. Yip some of Rogers bikes are a bit over the top and $$$$$$$$$$, I got this one for a steal...It listed for $46k I picked it up for $30k. Yip oil is in the frame, that's why the seat is so low, no oil tank... :icon_biggrin:

Very nice...aluminum frames is another bourget trademark.

How hot does that get when riding?  I know my bike has an aluminum oil tank and it gets REAL hot because the aluminum transfers heat better.  Makes it a pain to put the legs down when doing some hard riding.

not fast, and not very cool. but i like to think that i might look like an undercover cop when i'm driving around at night  :icon_biggrin:

maybe not... but it is comfortable! and i'd like to think one day i'll own one of my dad's Plymouth Dusters. he bought a second for parts, but i think his plan is to turn the second into a true racecar now (if his track times on the first get any faster he'll be forced to put harnesses into the car, and he wants to keep it as close to stock as possible).

Ya, his aluminum framed bikes are about twice as much as what mine cost. No issues with the heat at all, but then again this is Texas so it all just blends together....The oil in the frame cools rather quickly in the frame, even sitting still at an idle at temperature you can't feel any heat off the frame.

currently my dad is working on our 308 gtsi. it will be mine when i am 25 :D and when it's done i get to race it. he is making it more sporty and for track purposes. also the interior is being redone.

Drudging up this thread to give a new entrant...well, possibly...we'll see if the bank will let me have it.

'66 Ford Galaxie 500...running a 428...automatic, but classic nonetheless!  I've wanted to do a summer of car shows for a few years now and this is definately a car to do it in...full rotisserie resto done a few years ago and the drivetrain is strong.  Even if I hit just a couple shows...damn I think it's cool! haha

i like the 308 but it is too slow, my fave for looks and speed is the 1984 GTO. ofcoarse the modern stuff is way faster but that's ok the 80's italian cars looked better and changed styling as we know it

i'll race anybodies car here with my old yamaha maximX. it's only 700cc's  :laughing7:

yeah, it is, i wouldn't race a modern sportbike if the rider has any experience. i have some 4 wheeled stuff in the works too but most of it is for other people. i have a twin turbo small block chevy in the works for my own car but ran out of cash. it all depends on if i get this job! i can have a street car that will smoke my bike and many others.

Dan, I'll take you on, I got A Honda VFR800 Interceptor, and when I'm done with you, I'll spank anyone else that wants a shot, the little R6 is lighter and probably quicker off the line, so I'll have to take him through the curves and outbraking, and experience.  :laughing7:
