Nice whip you got there bud, all I have is a Camaro. Nothing speacial, other than the color. There were only 1300 of the gold made in '98 and 200 in '99, other than that just a '98 RS..

I'll raise ya a subbie. 06 subaru forester xt.  The ultimate granny wagon. Got it for the extra room for hauling bikes, hiking gear, etc, etc. Plus nobody expects any sort of quickness from a wagon, right?

Bob, that Merc is the most awesome thing I have seen in a long time. I just looked out the window at my rusty ol' '97 Corolla and a single tear rolled down my cheek. But hey, 45 mi/gal is cool too, right? Right?

my dad is 74, this is one of those things he has been waiting for. I'm going out to see him sometime soon and hope to drive that bad boy.

Where is Doctor Rock ??? ;)
+1.  Brent's Nissan GTR needs a mention here.

The only way I'd beat any of these with my Xterra is through two feet of snow.

My dad and I used to own a 1950 Merc.  We restored it to stock, redid the chrome and interior, and painted it gloss black.

flathead V8, three on the tree, with overdrive.  It would do 110 MPH on the bald prairie - but it would take two miles to stop!  It was a fun car.  Wish we still had it.

LOL  my dads merc. has a ladder bar frame and coil over shocks, disc brakes, the whole new old thing.. He also has a 1932 ford convert that is 100% original, it can only go 45mph for 30 miles before it over heats. still fun.

This is not my car, but I had one just like it.  87 IROC Z-28.  Nothing crazy, but still, pure fun.

Now I've got a minivan and a jeep.  Whoohoo!

I've got an '03 Dodge Dakota with 4.7L V8.  I have no interest in a dyno or 1/4 mile.  If anything, this truck has taught me spending money on a vehicle is useless because you never get it back.  However, life is about spending money on shiny things that make you happy.  A few of the mods I've done are:  headers, exhaust, K&N drop in filter with 4" true cold air intake that gets air from behind the front bumper, a larger (Ford) oil filter, 180 degree thermostat, Beltech 2/4 lowering kit, MagHyTec magnetic rear differential cover, and 20" wheels.  It's hardly the fastest thing on the road, but it's faster than most.  However, I haven't got a speeding ticket in years.  I've owned a Firebird, 2 trucks, and Ford Escort Station Wagon.  My favorite was the Escort.  My next vehicle will be a mini-van.

I'm in Dallas this week, so can't post pics; my '94 Acura Integra is real fast, I have the speeding tickets to prove it. Bought it 4 years ago this month for $2400. Currently it's a science experiment, just turned 260K and I'm waiting for it to break, but then I've been waiting 35K for it to break so I'll have to buy something else..
