Hi there,

Does anyone have any photos of their Kingwood or Ziricote fret boards?
I'd really like to see how these look on real neck.
Also it would be nice to hear what you think of them.

Thanks!

Steve

These might not be the best pictures but here's the showcase picture, then the finished product. It looks awesome before having frets... then the frets kind of hide how nice the grain is. Then when you add strings, it hides it even more. I still think it really looks good though. Ziricote.

Yes! That's what I'm looking to see.
Looks very nice!

I really don't like the showcase pics with the very flat lighting and grey back ground.

That's why I was asking for real life photos like yours.

Thank you! I like it!

I'll note that pics from the studio may look different than those in daylight.

Kingwood fretboard on a Wenge neck on my '08 LP. It's the partcaster everybody love when they play because of the tone of the instrument no matter the FAT neck or the bolt-on thing for a Les Paul. The WCR pickups have something to do also.

The reason I chose Kingwood it was because I didn't want another guitar with RW and it's supposed to be in the same family. I wanted Ziricote at first, I don't remember why eventually I went with Kingwood but when I saw this piece of wood I ordered it at once, it was a "Unique Choice" board. It looks more impressive when it's oiled.

Damn, that's perfectly low action.
