Well just curious as theres something about the 4+1 headstock im liking the idea of for my next project, ill post the mock ups of both 4+1 normal and reversed.
However im guessing if they dont do it, then i cant order a lefty one as the nut will be slotted for the strings in the wrong order for a righty of course.
However is the 4+1 reversed not possible maybe because there can be something wrong with the b string being shorter length before the nut?
Though i know that the string length is always to do with the nut to the bridge, so wasnt quite sure if the headstock amount enters into it  :dontknow:

Jim, do you not have a drill?  This is an easy job to do.  But let me see if I understand your question.  You want a lefty neck (or a reverse righty) 5 hole peghead?  Well if you order a lefty reverse neck, the side dots will be on the wrong side of the neck.  The nut is an easy fix, you can just tell them to not slot your nut on this neck and do it yourself.  Or you can order the righty proper neck, have them send it to me and I'll punch the hole in it for you lickety split!!!!

It's all about the side dots on this question buddy!!!!

I'm kind of curious as to why I cant just Order a right handed neck without a nut.then when I get it do another set of side dots on the side that face me.

Not like having your luthier shape your nut AFTER the guitar is all put together is a BAD idea.

I mean, the neck pocket is symmetrical. most back contours are to.

Too slow.

but yeah. seems side dots wouldn't be that hard to add.

Hmmm yeah sorry BigBeard didnt make it clear i think
Basically i like the idea of having the 4+1 but reversed so basically only the b string has the tuner on the top of the headstock.
Basically i mean do you think if i sent a email order they could do a righty neck but with the headstock reversed?
Or even so do you think the paddle headstock would fit a 4+1 or just a four string? i know the angled paddle is just four string but wasnt sure of the non angled.
If so i can easily take it to the luthier that did my current basses electrics and have him drill the holes and shape the headstock.
