Not that it likely matters in this application, but you guys realize titanium is more flexible than steel, right?  Lighter weight, more flexible, it's going to KILL the tone!  :o    (I'm kid, I kid!)
Maybe compared to some high carbon tool steels. But do you really think that the steel neck plates that are available are made from quality steel ....Mmmmmmm, not.. :icon_biggrin:

Besides, Titanium sounds cooler than steet.... :laughing7:
:::perk:::: Albert Collins anyone?

Does Ubertonium add to the resonance and sustain of the instrument? :toothy11:

It's a naturally occurring mineral found on the periodic table next to Unobtanium.

Right after Ununoctium... :icon_biggrin:

It's a very highly sought after wishalloy, from the family of phlebotinum.... :glasses9:

DangerousR6,
I have an idea for a neck plate for my current Warmoth project. Does this look doable? I like the idea of the black anodized aluminum plate for it. I can send you a .dxf or whatever is best.

Got a nice package in the mail today. Took a good picture of it. Really, really nice work!  :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:

( the reddish hue is from the camera reflection ) ( for the record, it's 9.5 grams lighter than a standard steel plate. I just made my guitar lighter  :icon_tongue: )

Got another to add, this ones entitled Cherry Blossom... :icon_biggrin:

That looks fantastic, Doug! I can't wait to see it in person!  :toothy11:

The body for this project came in this week, but unfortunately the pickup routing was incorrect so it had to go back to Warnoth. Looks like it will be another month or two before this plate gets a home.  :sad1:
